Our institution, the Gobetti Marchesini Casale Arduino Vocational School, is located in Turin (Italy) and is specialised in the fields of chemistry, environmental protection and information technology with 1100 students and 100 teachers.

The management of the GMCA with a distributed and participate leadership has improved the level of integration of two different but complementary curricula, and has bettered the level of cooperation between the staff of two different organizations. The labs learning activities and the permanent process of innovation in the field of ICT are two of the main challenges of the mission of the GMC. An important part of the mission of the school is also to develop the social capital (especially with the stakeholders of the school) through strong and frequent relationships with the University and the academic research (for instance in the field of nano-biotechonology) with the Local Authorities and with industrial organizations (for instance to follow the permanent changes of the labor-market and all the changes in technologies for bio-chemical analysis etc.)

The IIS GMCA still connected the hospital school operating with O.I.R.M. hospitals (Ospedale Infantile Regina Margherita), C.T.O. (Center Trauma Hospital), and C.R.F. (Functional Rehabilitation Centre) and with the Molinette hospital. Providing this education service was created to protect the right to health and to the study of the citizens of minor age, suffering from serious diseases.

IIS GMCA also a course of vocational studies in business administration and economics and legal framework, complemented by cross-linguistic skills and particular informatiche.In, the professional scope competences are: the economic and business phenomena national and international, the Civil Code and taxation, enterprise systems (organization, planning, programming, administration and accounting, finance and management control), marketing tools, the insurance / financial products, social economics and politics.

TOur institution is the headschool of an integrated centre of vocational education that includes two vocational schools in Turin in the fields chemistry, biotechnologies, environmental protection and healthcare.
